Holy Baptism—Wednesday morning (4-21-10) I had the privilege of baptizing this family of two adults and three children. This is a family that I have worked with for a numbers of years. They are facing many challenges with very limited resources—but Wednesday morning they received the Holy Spirit. Praise God!! If you would like to know more about this family email me at nettervil@hotmail.com. There are a number of prayers needs.

Sharing God's Gifts During The Christmas Season

Christmas is a special time for gift giving. We celebrate Christmas by giving gifts to others out of an appreciation of the Gift God gave us when He gave His Son Jesus to die for our sins thereby making it possible for us to be all that He created us to be. The small group ministry at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne IN, in appreciation for the many blessings and gifts that they have received from God, shared some of those gifts with the mother and children shown in the photo.

August 1, 2001 Christian Urban Ministries Farm Swimming Party.

Imagine you are the director of an urban ministry program. What would you do on a hot August day in Indiana when the temperature is hovering at ninety eight degrees and the humidity is approaching one hundred percent and you got twenty kids on your hands? Thats easy--you head for the farm of some friends of Christian Urban Ministries. These friends open up their hearts, their farm, and their swimming pond to twenty kids from the inner-city of Fort Wayne IN--and we had a ball.

You could see the heat rising from the corn fields. Man it was HOT and STICKY!

But we were OK because we had plenty of pop to drink and lots of water to splash in.

One inner tube and twenty kids means only one thing--lots of FUN.

Who's afraid to jump? Not me e e e!.

If he is not afraid I am not either.

We had a great time at the farm.

We finish off the day with a stop for some PIZZA!!
